Light: The Language of Photography: Dyes

More abstracts.

This is an exploration of the randomness of light and colour.

The setup is relatively simple...
  • You take milk (In this case, I used approximately 5 gallons of the stuff).
  • You use a suitable tripod to place your camera over the milk.
  • You use a syringe /  dropper, to drop little drops of food colouring in it.
  • You then drop one drop of washing up liquid in it.

The original milk / colour "explodes" as it reacts violently with the washing up liquid, creating these random images.

​I inverted some of the images in Photoshop.
